Yesterday I headed to the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre to takes some pictures and watch these amazing animals. Although I would love to photograph wolves in the wild, I have not been bless in being able in capturing them in their natural habitat, yet. This facility is the closest experience to see wolves up close in a natural environment. What I learned during my time there was the facility really preserves a true resemblance of their natural habitat by providing the wolf pack a 15 acre wooded compound, feed them only natural food that they would consume in the wild and have a natural spring water supply within the compound area. Their is no human interaction with the animals and the viewing areas have one way glass, again to further protect a natural environment for the wolves. I spent over 3 hours watching and learning about wolves and wished I didn't have to get back on the road home. What a great place and what a great job they have done.
